WHat is passive voice

FYI: Prefect Continuous Tenses have no passive voice form. Future Continuous Tense and Past Future Continuous Tense have no passive voice form. Therefore, among 16 different kinds of Tenses, there are only 10 tenses, which is half of all, have passive voice.

The passive voice is the courtpart of active voice. Usually, when we don’t know who or what is the subject of the verb or the subject is not that important, we need passive voice to concentrate on the verb itself.

The tense with passive voice are shown as the list below:

  1. The simple present tense
  2. The present continuous tense
  3. The present prefect tense
  4. The simple past tense
  5. The past continuous tense
  6. The past prefect tense
  7. The simple future tense
  8. The future prefect tense
  9. The simple past future tense
  10. The past future prefect tense

passive voice of the simple present tense

The form of this passive voice is: is/am/are + verb’s past participle

Thor: My hammer is crashed by my sister.

Passive voice of the present continuous tense

The form of this passive voice is: am/is/are+being+verb’s past participle

Loki: I’m afraid we are being followed by our sister.

passive voice of The present prefect tense

The form of this passive voice is: have/has been +verb’s past participle

Loki: My brother’s hammer has been crashed by our sister

Passive voice of The simple past tense

The form of this passive voice is: was/were + verb’s past participle

Loki: My brother’s hammer was crashed by our sister with single hand.

Passive voice of the past continuous tense

The form of this passive voice is: was/were being +verb’s past participle

Loki: At that moment, my brother was being bullying by our sister.

Passive voice of the past prefect tense

The form of this passive voice is: had been+verb’s past participle

Loki: When we all got on that space ship, Asgard had been annihilated by Surtur.

Passive voice of the simple future tense

The form of this passive voice is: will/shall be +verb’s past participle

Thor: I think my hammer will be fixed by Dwarves.

Passive voice of the future prefect tense

The form of this passive voice is: will/shall have been +verb’s past participle

Thor: When we confront Thanos again, my new hammer will have been craft by the king of Dwarves.

The form of this passive voice is: should/would be +verb’s past participle

Loki: My dumb brother told me his hammer would be fixed by Dwarves.

Passive voice of the past future prefect tense

The for of this passive voice is: should/would have been +verb’s past participle

Loki: My dumb brother told me his hammer would have been fixed by Dwarves when we confront Thanos.
